CLSA Webinar - Distracted Driving 4/26 11am PST

  • California Land Surveyors Association 2520 Venture Oaks Way, Suite 150 Sacramento, CA 95833 USA (map)

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month

Distracted Driving is the biggest issue in driving today.

Thousands have died in car crashes involving cell phone use. New technology allows us to make phone calls, dictate texts or emails and update social media while driving - all actions that are proven to increase crash risk.

This session will emphasize the magnitude of the distracted driving problem, the current laws in place, and weaknesses in prevention efforts. It will also explore the effectiveness of existing solutions and if new technology is a help or a hindrance.

Please register for this webinar to be presented on Tuesday April 26th at 11:00-12:00 PST that CLSA's Workshop Program is bringing to you to highlight and protect you, your employees, and/or coworkers from this epidemic.

Participants will:

  • Learn about what can make a driver distracted, the problems distracted driving presents, and how those problems can affect the health, safety, and welfare of the community at large.
  • Review the laws presently in place, their weaknesses, and resources for developing your own distracted driving policy to prevent accidental injury or death and/or property damage.
  • Understand how reaction time is affected, why attitude is important, and how possible preventive measures can protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public in general.
  • Consider newer vehicle technology and its impact on the public's health, safety, and welfare.

CLSA has partnered with RLI and IOA to bring you this life-saving program.
